We scored campsite reservations at this popular state park just outside of Sheboygan while we were in town for the Ryder Cup.
Nestled in the trees with spacious sites, this was a serene place to stay so close to all of the action. Beautiful trails through the trees led to the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. It was only about 15-20 minutes to Whistling Straits Golf Course, which was a huge plus. We didn't get to spend as much time exploring here as we'd probably have liked to (since we were at the Ryder Cup festivities for most of our days here), but we enjoyed unwinding under the trees in the evenings and taking the dogs on morning walks.
