We'd never heard of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and just found ourselves staying here two nights by pure luck. Without RV reservations on Columbus Day weekend, we had been hopping around to Harvest Hosts with availability. One of these hosts that caught our eye was Boothbay Craft Brewery, Taphouse & RV. It's a pretty darn cool place to hangout outside, enjoy great food and drinks, and it also has 17 full hook-up RV sites adjacent. With a country setting and just a few miles to the coastal downtown, it's a great location. We enjoyed the most amazing organic pizzas and craft brews. My veggie pizza was even adorned with fresh sprouts and edible flowers. We'd definitely recommend this place for its yummy food, great craft brews and amazing people.

BOOTHBAY HARBOR
Downtown Boothbay Harbor is adorable - we loved it! It was quintessential Maine (in our mind) with winding roads, little shops, sailboats, and seashore cottages. We were so glad to discover this place, and would definitely send people here if someone asked us where to go in Maine.
We were really fortunate to be in town during the Boothbay Fall Foliage Festival at the local Railway Village Museum. It was fantastic - the weather was sunny with just a little crisp fall chill. Local artisans and vendors had tents set up selling crafts, books and baked goods. We explored historical buildings, rode on a small track steam train, and sat and enjoyed live music. The people here were marvelously more friendly than everywhere else we've been in Maine. What a great autumn day!
