It's Ryder Cup time! We've been anxiously awaiting this trip for years. We were waitlisted to purchase tickets years ago for the biennial event that was scheduled to take place last September but postponed due to the COVID pandemic. We scored tickets for all three practice round days - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, along the shores of Lake Michigan.
We knew that we'd have an amazing time, but the Ryder Cup experience far exceeded our expectations. From the golf talent, loud chants, enthusiastic fans, and gorgeous golf course, it was an unforgettable experience for our family.
We saw every player from both teams make shots on all three days, and scored amazing seats on the first tee box two days in a row. The fan-player interactions at the Ryder Cup were amazing. Stuart was elated to talk to Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, and even heckled Brooks Koepka on the tee box for not having enough fun. The kids landed autographed golf balls, hats, and observed a lot techniques on the practice greens and driving range. What stood out to Raymond was just how far the pros really hit the ball, but their short game made him feel a little better about his own. We noticed that the Europeans seemed to function more as a team and were also a lot more fun out on the course.
All-in-all, 10 out of 10, PHENOMENAL - We are so thankful we had this opportunity to do this as a family, and we hope we'll be lucky enough to catch another Ryder Cup in the future!
