A trip back to Raymond's old stomping grounds wasn't complete without a family round on the course where he learned how to play golf - Shamrock Country Club.
We gave the course our best go and had a lot of fun hearing stories from many rounds played during Raymond's high school years. Although we nearly forgot what the dry Texas dirt felt like under our golf clubs, we didn't forget how pretty the wide open skies are.
The boys tied after nine, both shooting a solid 46 from the women's tees. We were really proud of them!
After our round, we walked through the club house to check out Raymond's old plaque from his team's state championship.
