The Vietnam Experience

The Vietnam War Experience Exhibit at Patriot's Point was just next door to the USS Yorktown in Charleston. The exhibit is set in the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968, one of the bloodiest of the Vietnam War. With loud audio of generals giving commands and artillery firing all around, it was almost eerie touring through the setting.

We loved the hands-on experience and were able to climb in several helicopters, first aid trucks, barracks, watch towers, and more. It was an educational and moving exhibit - highly recommended!
