Williamsburg, Virginia, is one of our favorite places to visit. We stayed here at the Williamsburg KOA last Thanksgiving and liked it enough to return for our round two trip to the Historic Triangle.
It is an older park, so the campsites are not laid out in the most rv-user-friendly or level way, but completely usable. Despite the layout, we do really enjoy the campground. Both times visiting we've had a good rain storm come through. You can pick up a scoop of ice cream in the front office, plus there are lots of activities planned for the kids. In addition to the pool, jumping pillows, and playground, they also have extra things planned like balloon animals with Bubbles the clown, the Teeny Tiny Petting Zoo, and candy bar bingo.
It's beautifully set in the trees, so it's a fun place to end the day around a campfire.
The location is convenient to many activities in the area:
7.9 miles to Colonial Williamsburg
8.3 miles to the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club
13 miles to Bush Gardens
14 miles to Jamestown Settlement & Historic Jamestown
20 miles to Yorktown Battefield & Historic Yorktown
